‘Lest We Forget’. In remembrance of all those brave men from the allied forces who gave their lives unconditionally, throwing themselves onto five horrific and heavily guarded beaches in Normandy 75 years ago today, so that the we may be free from tyranny. I salute and thank each and every one of you brave souls.

An image to remind a couple of great friends of mine who’ve just returned from their first trip to the Big Apple. ‘Times Square blur, NYC’. I hope that it reminds you both of the frenetic pace of that wonderful city? Glad you enjoyed my favourite place and hope it has become one of yours too.

  • Hi all! Just been watching the new Victorian era drama from HBO – ‘The Nevers’. Reminded me of this Victorian Gothic fashion shoot I captured a little while back. Really love this period – Late 19th Century London. Ciao till next time friends. Steven
  • ‘Fotoautomatica’ (Florence, Italy). As things slowly begin to re-open after what seems like forever and whilst acknowledging the hardships both emotional and financial many people have had over this strange period, I wanted to bring a little ray of art photography into the FB inboxes of friends and followers and say that Steven Gillies Photography is around for your pleasure. Why not ping me a message or drop by the website and check out what’s new. Ciao. Steven
  • In these days of required self-isolation and with time for introspection, I find myself in reflective mood. Here is my ‘Reflections on a Glass’. Interesting images can be found at home… So – stay home, stay safe everyone!
